# 🧭 Executive Coaching – What to Expect ## Why this page exists Executive coaching works best when we’re both clear on what it is, how we’ll work together, and what’s needed from both sides. This page sets out those expectations. It’s not a contract — it’s a conversation starter. A way of naming the working rhythms, principles, and boundaries that support a productive, honest coaching relationship. ## What you can expect from me These are the commitments I bring to every coaching partnership: - **Presence and focus.** I’ll show up fully — not distracted, not rushing — and hold space that’s safe, clear, and energising. - **Challenge with care.** I won’t shy away from difficult conversations, but I’ll hold them with kindness and clarity. - **Structure with flexibility.** I’ll bring proven frameworks, models, and tools — but we’ll tailor them to your context, not apply them rigidly. - **Confidentiality.** I will not share details of our sessions with anyone unless you explicitly agree. - **Between-session support.** I’ll offer light-touch support (where agreed) between sessions — this might include email check-ins or reviewing key materials. - **A thought partner.** I’m not just here to listen — I’ll help you think out loud, spot patterns, reframe assumptions, and make tough calls. ## What I ask of you Coaching is a two-way commitment. To get the most from our work together, I invite you to: - **Make space for it.** Protect the time for sessions and any agreed reflection or prep — it’s easy for this work to get squeezed out. - **Be honest with yourself.** You don’t need to impress me. Just bring your real thinking and let the process do its work. - **Be open to challenge.** I’ll ask questions that may stretch or surprise you. That’s part of the work. - **Raise concerns early.** If something’s not working, let’s talk about it — we’ll adapt together. - **Do the work.** The most powerful shifts often come between sessions. I’ll suggest reflections or experiments to explore in your own time. ## Our working rhythm We’ll usually meet every 2–4 weeks, depending on what feels sustainable and useful. Each session lasts around 60–75 minutes, and we’ll check in regularly to review progress. I may invite you to complete light prep beforehand — a brief reflection, check-in survey, or priorities list. ## Practical details We’ll agree the scope of the engagement at the start — including session number, format (Zoom or in person), and fee. You’ll receive clear joining instructions and a calendar invite for each session. Rescheduling is totally fine, with at least 48 hours’ notice. ## Confidentiality and trust Everything you share with me is treated as confidential. If your employer is sponsoring the coaching, we may agree a light-touch goals alignment conversation with them — but you’ll always be in control of what’s shared. Coaching is a space of trust, not performance. You don’t need to be polished — just present. ## A final word This isn’t a fixed set of rules. It’s a shared understanding that we can revisit and evolve as needed. If there’s ever something you need differently from me — more direction, more silence, more pause — let’s name it. ## 🗣️ Client Experience > _“Working with Andy over the last year has been one of the most enriching professional experiences I’ve had. His ability to meet me where I was, then gently but consistently help me stretch beyond it, made a profound difference.”_ > > _“What stands out most is his deep presence and perceptive questioning — he sees what’s unspoken, and makes it feel safe to explore. I’ve grown in confidence, clarity, and compassion — as a leader and as a person.”_ > > — **Senior Executive, Health Sector** 💬 [More client experiences on LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/coachkidd/details/recommendations/) # ❓ Questions? !includes-calltoaction-reflective >!includes-hranchor-coaching # 🎞️ Summary Carousel !what-to-expect-executive-coaching.pdf # 🤝 Want to stay in touch? !includes-footer-substack %% --- Process - **Discovery call** - [ ] A mutual NDA is signed. - [ ] The exploration questionnaire is completed. - [ ] Permission (consent) to create the recording is granted. - [ ] The data retention policy is shared with the coaching client. - **Scoping conversation** - Debrief exploration questionnaire. - Document requirements. - **A proposal is submitted for approval** - Requirements (outcomes) are detailed. - Intervention is detailed. - Price and terms are submitted. - **Contract is signed** - Price and terms are agreed. - Payment is taken and booking(s) made. # Local Resources - Stance OSOM - [OSOM Guide](https://osom.guide) - [Structuring Organisations](https://stance.consulting/osom/) - Useful background to OSOM I can use. %%
