# 🤝 Team Coaching – What to Expect ## Why this page exists Team coaching works best when we’re all clear on what it is — and what it isn’t. This page offers a shared foundation for how we’ll work together. It helps avoid assumptions, reduce friction, and strengthen our collective commitment to the journey. ## What you can expect from me as your team coach My role is to support the team’s development — not to manage performance or solve every problem. You can expect: - **A thinking partner for the whole team.** I’ll support your conversations, not direct them. My job is to help the team hear itself — and each other — more clearly. - **Design that serves purpose.** I’ll bring relevant frameworks, questions, and exercises — tailored to your real-world goals, tensions, and working rhythm. - **Challenge and care.** I’ll name the dynamics I see, with curiosity and compassion. I’ll support the group to work with (not around) discomfort. - **Neutrality.** I’m not here to take sides or push an agenda. My commitment is to the development of the team-as-a-system. - **Confidentiality.** What’s shared with me in trust, stays there — unless we agree otherwise together. ## What I ask of you as a team Team coaching is a collective practice. For it to be meaningful, it helps if everyone: - **Shows up as themselves.** You don’t need to perform. You do need to be present. - **Commits to the process.** The real work often happens between sessions. Coaching can be confronting — stay with it. - **Names the real issues.** We won’t get far if we only talk about surface problems. Trust that this is a space to go deeper. - **Owns their impact.** Each voice matters. The way we show up — or stay silent — shapes the team’s effectiveness. - **Stays curious.** Differences are a strength. Coaching invites us to understand them, not iron them out. ## Our rhythm and scope Team coaching isn’t a one-off workshop — it’s a journey. We’ll typically meet every 3–4 weeks, with a mix of whole-team sessions and optional check-ins. The pace, format, and focus will be agreed together and flexed as needed. I may work alongside one of your leaders or sponsors to align on direction and logistics, but the focus is always on what’s useful to the team. ## What coaching is — and isn’t This is **not** consulting (although I may bring relevant models). It’s **not** training (though learning will happen). It’s **not** group therapy (but trust and safety are central). It’s a professional development space — grounded in systems thinking, psychological safety, and real business outcomes. Team coaching helps you work more skilfully *with* yourselves and each other — especially when things feel uncertain, complex, or stuck. ## A final word No team is perfect. That’s not the goal. What matters is the willingness to learn, adapt, and show up for each other — especially when things are hard. That’s what I’m here to support. ## 🗣️ Client Experience > _“Andy supported our leadership team during a critical period of change.
